Jerusalem

Jerusalem

Jerusalem the city of my God, have you noticed how that people all across the world, in the different types of ministries, all agree on keeping your eyes on Jerusalem. The book of Revelation is the revelation of Jesus Christ.

As far as I can gather from the New Testament scripture, God wants all of the believers to keep their focus on the “New Jerusalem”. That city that will be coming down from heaven with Jesus Christ our King.

So let us just plainly jump right into the heart of the matter and see what the scriptures have to say about Jerusalem. The most sobering one I know of is written in the book of Galatians; Before I go any futher, let me state to you all that read this article that we as a people are going to have to start believing the scriptures for what they say and not from an opinion of man, I would rather believe in the source than an opinion.

The Apostle Paul was the Apostle to us the Gentile believers, Peter was the Apostle to the Jewish believers, their words are for us today because they are written in the holy scriptures as they were moved upon by the Holy Ghost. Most Gentile believers are missing what the scriptures say because they will not listen to the one that was sent to them to minister the world of the true and living God Almighty YHWH. If you can receive it, the Apostle Paul told us of Moses and the Commandments of YHWH. So when God raised him up to be the Apostle to the Gentiles, we should hold Paul’s word in very high regard and believe it. In the book of Galatians, the 4th chapter Paul tells us about Jerusalem, let us see what he had to say.

GALATIANS 4:21
21 Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?
22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.
23 But he [who was] of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman [was] by promise.
24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.
25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.
26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
27 For it is written, Rejoice, [thou] barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.
28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him [that was born] after the Spirit, even so [it is] now.
30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.
31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

Wow! What eye opening scriptures! Jerusalem which is now, that means earthly, is of the flesh. Abraham had two sons, one by the bondmaid and the other by the freewoman. The fleshly earthly Jerusalem which is now, which is of Agar, Ishmael is in bondage with her children.

In (verse 30 & 31) this bondwoman and her son were cast out, and they are not the heirs with the son of the freewoman. In (verse 26) it tells us that the “Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all”. We can start to see the events happening on the earth coming to a head when all of the Gentiles are come into the fold.

Please read these scriptures and see what the bible has to say about Jerusalem, {Revelation 3:12};{Revelation 21:2}; {Revelation 21:10}; The book of Hebrews make reference to the city that Abraham was looking for, not looking at! But looking for

HEBREWS 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

HEBREWS 11:16 But now they desire a better [country], that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

I believe that we should have our eyes on the “New Jerusalem” just like Father Abraham did, the Father of faith. We as Christians have so much to offer to the people of the earth when we tell them about our Messiah, Jesus Christ. He is the King and the Lord of all, he is coming back again just like he said!

Keep Your Eyes On Jerusalem!
