The Sacred Name Movement!

The Sacred Name

Many have come to me for understanding in reference to the use of the sacred name of God. Brothers and Sisters as a Man of Understanding a Pastor Of our Lord Jesus Christ, it is my job as a shepherd to help clear up a lot of false teachings and perspective’s and persuasions of men.

Exodus 6:2-3

And ELOHIYM spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am YHWH:

And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of EL SHADDAY, but by my name YHWH was I not known to them.

As we can see here brothers and sisters Abraham, the father of faith did not know YHWH by his name, yet and still he was the father of many nations, and the covenants. Your faith is what the enemy is after! It’s by faith that you are going to stand.

As a result the name of YHWH has been and is being blasphemed

among the heathen as they sit back and watch the divison that this doctrine is causing. Many believe that they will attain salvation because they think they are saying the right name. However, the bible does not say that salvation comes by pronouncing a name. I have watched and have heard of the division that the sacred name movement has brought about. One thing is for sure if there is major division to the point that it has even brought about the work of the flesh ie: (fist fights) then the Father is not in it at all! That old serpent called the devil has made enroads into the minds of men, he has puffed them up to the point that they can, not even walk as brethren, it is sad.

Many have forsaken the name of Jesus and in their quest to obtain higher knowledge of YHWH, it has made them arrogant self willed, prideful lifted up carnal fleshly heathens. They do not even have the Spirit of compassion that the Messiah taught, neither can any see Him working In there lives as true believers. Allow me to give you a scripture on the out set of this short message of understanding.

I CORINTHIANS 1:10

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and [that] there be no divisions among you; but [that] ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

For sure this is not taking place among those who argue their points of contention. I have a good understanding of this whole controversy.

The Messiah did say that “signs will follow them that believe.” Many do not even possess the Love of God in their hearts.

As for me, I have always used the name of YHWH when referring to God. It was first placed in my heart when He saved me. I also use God, Lord, Jesus, YHWH, Yahshua, etc. I watch many stumble when someone approaches them using another name that they do not approve of. They have to think of what to say. The reason for this is because it is not in their heart but in their head!

The term “In the Name of” is “Positional Authority.” Many boast of the use of the name and they do not have the authority over devils, unclean spirits, demons or even their own spirit. Jesus told us in an example of prayer to pray (Our Father). Religion has corrupted mens minds today.

Can I tell you the real spirit behind all of this? These types of people are looking to have something that others do not have, so that they can appear religious, or having the truth that others do not possess.

They are seeking their own and not the things of YHWH.

The modern Messianic Movement, led by believing Jews, knows full well that referring to the Jewish Messiah as Jesus Christ will get you nowhere in the Jewish community. They have used the name Yeshua (the Hebrew name for Jesus) and referred to Him strictly as Messiah from the Hebrew "Meshiach" to avoid Christ from the Greek derivation "Christos." With all this attention of getting back to our Hebrew roots, it was inevitable that the actual name God gave to Moses for the sons of Israel would also take on greater attention.

Some Messianic believers in their zeal have abandoned the name Jesus, despising the Greek transliteration, and prefer a strictly Hebrew pronunciation. However, there is even some debate over whether His name is "Yeshua" or "Yahshua." More so, some have rejected the substitutions of the Hebrew "Adonai" in blessings and the word "Lord" in the common English expressions. Sometimes their zeal knows no bounds. Some of our brethren assert that failure to pronounce the name "Yahweh" means your heart is not circumcised nor the Spirit of God is present. They assert that the name referred to in John 1:12 must be "Yahweh" or "Yahshua." This is really sad.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

This whole argument seems like an effort to spiritually Judaize brethren and smacks of ancient gnosticism (I am spiritually superior because of my knowledge).

The assertion of "Yeshua" for "Yahshua" has a bit of a humorous twist. There is no question that "Yah" is an _expression of God. Yahshua was the fullness of God and therefore deity in every sense of the definition. According to Yahshua, He was present with Abraham and gave the commandment at Mount Sinai. I am convinced that Yahshua was in the burning bush. Therefore, there is no issue as to whether Yahshua is God; the question is the Hebrew pronunciation of His name.

Let’s first explain the difference between a transliteration and a translation. A transliteration is a spelling to make you sound the word. A translation is the use of another word in another language that means the same thing. The King James Bible wanted to give the phonetic sound to the name of Jesus, so in the story of Luke’s Gospel they transliterated the name that the angel is heard to say to Mary...

Luke 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. (transliterated Joshua)

Joshua! What does Joshua have to do with all this? In Old English, the "J" sound was a "Y" sound. In an attempt to get English readers to say "Yahshua," they transliterated it as Joshua. However, Joshua is actually another Hebrew name. Remember Joshua led the children of Israel across the Jordan and took the land of Israel.

Then Christian scholars learned of their transliteration MISTAKE and went back to using the Greek transliteration which was even worse than Joshua. The Greek text had tried to do the same thing and tried to phonetically sound the name with "Iesous."

Then Christian scholars translated the Greek Iesous into Jesus.

Now days we have some other brethren striving for the Hebrew roots and in all this found the name Joshua in the KJV and translated it back to the Hebrew Yahoshua. The name Yahoshua (Joshua) means God is Salvation; whereas, Yahshua means Salvation.

Mary was told to name her son "Salvation" for He would save His people. Simeon, the old man in the temple waiting for the Messiah, held up Yeshua and said, "Mine eyes have seen the Salvation of Israel."

However, these other brethren have done the translating of Joshua and are convinced that Yeshua is really Yahshua (a western dialect of Yahoshua). The Strong’s word number from the King James Bible clearly shows it is a name for Joshua and Jesus. It is amazing what a simple mix-up in transliterations and translations can do. There is no secret in this.

God is smart enough to know when someone is attempting to say His name and speak with or about Him. He also knows our heart and INTENT in how we speak His name, whether it be honorable or profane. God hears and answers His people even if they pronounce a Greek transliteration that was then translated into to English to make "Jesus." God is watching the controversy of the name pronunciation. Brethren, these things become wrong when it becomes a matter of discord, strife, spiritual pride and separation among brethren. After all, does not the Spirit do the speaking for us?

The sad part of all this is, I could go on all day long explaining what has happened and what is taking place. God honors faith! You bring someone to me that is in need, naturally, spiritually oppressed and watch and see what I do! The Love of God will show, I call on the name of Jesus, why? Because when He saved me he gave me salvation and I am forever grateful of His grace and mercy.

I have the power in Jesus name to do what the bible tells me to do!  Yahshua said that the works that I do you shall do also, and greater works than these shall ye do. Well, I have power to cast out devils, while others have the power to argue over how you pronounce His name and how you say it. YHWH is not pleased at the divison over this! That is why you do not see Him operating in their mid. They have a form of Godliness but they deny the power, (Holy Spirit). The Bible tells you what to do about this:

II TIMOTHY 3:1-5.

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.    For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,   Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;    Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Turn away from this type of spirit and seek YHWH for the truth and He will show you.

This whole argument seems like an effort to spiritually Judaize brethren and smacks of ancient gnosticism (I am spiritually superior because of my knowledge).

Many people have been to Straitway, both of the sacred name and Christians. They all marvel at the power of Jesus Christ, Why? Because satan cannot cast out satan! If a kingdom is divided against itself it cannot stand. We are of YHWH reguardless of the opinions of men. Almighty YHWH confirms it by the love and the signs that follow them that believe.

You can say the name all you want; but if God is not with you, and you do not have the power to trust in him to do the least thing like take away a head ache, then what is the use of the name? You see, it’s not the name that is the problem it’s the spirit of men.

Without Him, it is for sure, we can do nothing! Many are showing that they are without Him, because nothing is being done but strife, division, warrings, debate, envy, jealousy, and hate all the work of the flesh,  which shows who they are really serving!

ISAIAH 9:6   For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

ISAIAH 7:14    Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

MATTHEW 1:23    Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

JOHN 8:24    I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am [he], ye shall die in your sins.

I JOHN 5:7   For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
