DEPRESSION
Depression! It seems that over half the population is bound by this spirit! Before I answer the problem, let’s take a look at an issue in the church today! When I mention the “Church,” I am talking about the church of whose head is the Lord Jesus Christ! If you are in a Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, Church of Christ, Catholic, Apostolic, Church of God and etc, etc, etc, you are not in the Church of Jesus Christ! Is Christ divided? No! Men do the dividing, not Jesus. Jesus is not the author of confusion. However, the scriptures say:
EZEKIEL 34:2
Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe [be] to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?
EZEKIEL 34:3
Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: [but] ye feed not the flock.
EZEKIEL 34:4
The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up [that which was] broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them.
The Pastors and Elders of the Church you attend do not have faith in Jesus. They direct you to the worldly doctors instead of Jesus. As a result, you have no faith in God. The bible does not teach that when you are sick and are suffering in your bodies that you need to go to the doctors. Of course I do not blame you for going. I wouldn’t go to my preacher for help if he doesn’t have power. Jesus promised the believers that they would have power after the Holy Ghost is come upon them. So the real question today is, “Where is the Holy Ghost power?” If you attend a Church or Assembly and there is not any power of Jesus being manifested, then you are in the wrong church!
Depression is a demon! Depression is rooted in the spirit of fear. Depression is simply a chemical imbalance in your body. If you or your church does not have an understanding of spiritual things then it will be hard for you to understand what you are reading in the Bible. Bitterness, guilt and fear have legal grounds in you when you have depression. You need understanding and prayer from a man of God that has been called by God and not ordained by an organization or called by his Momma!
Remember - You cannot take care of spiritual problems with natural means.
Praise the Lord! Come Lord Jesus come!
