Resurrection Understanding!
If we follow the modern day concept of a Sunday Resurrection or what the Bible calls the 1st Day, let’s see if we have the required three days and three nights according to the prophecy, the words of Jesus. We have pictured below three circles representing three complete days according to the Genesis account. Christianity tells us that Christ died on what they call good Friday. So let’s see if we have three days and three nights according to the sign Jesus said would be the only sign, which was the Son of Man being in the belly of the earth three days or 72 hour time period. Good Friday/Saturday Saturday/Sunday Sunday/ Monday Day 1 Day 1 1 Day 3 Day 3 3 Day 2 Day 2 2 From the above reference, there is no way Jesus could have died on what Christianity calls Good Friday and rise on what Christianity calls Easter Sunday morning. You cannot get three days and three nights. Of course in order to justify the religion of Christianity they will tell you the Jews recognize any part of a day as a complete day. While this may sound good, it is not a fact. All you would have to do is just do your own research and you will see the people who call themselves Jews today keep the 7th day Sabbath from Friday night at night fall until Saturday night at night fall. So what we have above following Christian doctrine, Jesus spent two nights and one complete day in the grave. This is contrary to sound doctrine, Jesus said three days and three nights. I know you love Jesus and would rather follow the truth than a tradition that cannot simply count. Now using time as we relate it today, there still will be problems in understanding if you do not recognize time like the Bible tells us. Yet we will try and show for understanding purposes that Jesus did not die on a Friday and Resurrect on a Sunday. In fact Jesus die on what is modernly called Wednesday night, which would fulfill the prophecy in Daniel 9:27 about Him being cut off in the mist of the week. Day 1 Day1 Day 3 Day 3 Day 2 Day 2 As you can see the above chart explains it clearly. Yet the problem is with this chart it is telling us that Jesus Resurrected Saturday Night which would be called Sunday night if you follow Biblical time. Please do not get confused. Now we here at Straitway do not follow the customs our land. We chose to obey God and put Him first in everything we do. So our Laws and Commandments are different from the people who live around us. Let’s look at this following the Genesis account of what the Bible says is a day: Following the Bible, the day begins at night and then you have a day period which would make up one complete day.
Now we have the truth. Jesus resurrected the Sabbath Day during the night period and Mary knew to rest according to the Commandment on the 7th day Sabbath and she went out very early in the morning being the first day of the week to the grave and found that Jesus was not there, He had already risen. This is a very painful truth. Why? Because it shows clearly the falsehoods of Christianity. We the Israelites of the Most High here at Straitway thank Him for continue understanding as we hunger and thirst to be filled with all the truth. I hope That this little study has blessed you in my prayers. Pastor Dowell Last
