For [it is] impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous [man], that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul. (KJV).

And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? (KJV).
HEBREWS 10:38
Now the just shall live by faith: but if [any man] draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. (KJV).

If any man see his brother sin a sin [which is] not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. (KJV).
LUKE 9:62
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. (KJV).
Yes, a born-again believer can die spiritually and in doing that if he does not contain the spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
